Annual Ski Letter
Seasons Greetings for the 2016-17 Season
There's something about November. Leaves start falling, days get shorter. Snow storms begin steam rolling across the lowlands entombing Flaine with champagne powder. These winter storms awaken those skiers and boarders with even a small trace of P-tex in their blood. Embrace the storm. Winter is in the air. With unparalleled beauty and impeccably buffed groomers, the snow stays soft and sweet for days after a storm. Bad snow year? Flaine don't play that game.
Either you love Flaine or you don't know Flaine. It’s the Swiss Army knife of resorts with real world prices ‑ queues and hassles not included. It’s the alpine jewel box where you don't need a snowy crystal ball to predict where the flakes will pile up. The best ski days are a glimpse of paradise on earth. There's no place more heavenly than Flaine. This is where God would ski.
Personally, I've committed my life to ski and snowboard instruction and am dedicated to serving you and enhancing your sliding experience. You've given my lifelong passion for sliding on snow structure and predictability.
Sliding is much more than something to do. It's something to share. The better you're sliding, the more fun you will have. Appreciate each turn underfoot and bring someone new to the mountain. Listen. Laugh. Connect. Have a conversation. Listening is the most underrated skill of all time. Skiing with the most important people in your life may lead to real conversation and treasured memories.
Contact me by email for your customized lessons. If you’re in Flaine, you can find me at La Perdrix Noire most evenings between 6 and 7 pm.
'Tis the season for excellence.
